FAQs

  • Therapy provides a nonjudgmental space for you to work through whatever is getting in the way of living the life you want to live. Maybe it's dealing with challenging emotions, difficulty setting boundaries at work, or feeling like you just can't keep it all together. These things and so many more can be supported with therapy.

Don't get me wrong; it's hard work, and it's only going to work with your effort and investment.

  • I primarily work with people ages 18-40s. I have experience working with clients who work in high-stress careers, such as teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, music business professionals, and business owners.

I have a specific interest in working with emerging adults (navigating post-college life) and men with anxiety.

However, my office is open to all, regardless of age, race, gender, sexuality, economic status, or ethnicity.

  • I might be a great fit for you if you value a therapist who is:

    - relational & personal in her approach to therapy

    - direct but compassionate

    - down-to-earth and acts like a real human (no blank slate over here!)

    - personally familiar with what it's like to struggle with perfectionism and overthinking

    ......

You might be a great fit for me if you struggle with:

    - anxiety (panic attacks, phobias, health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD-ish symptoms, etc.)

    - rumination/over-thinking

    - setting boundaries at work or home

    - people-pleasing

    - trying to "optimize" everything you do

    - sleeping because your brain won't turn off

    - traumatic experiences or memories that manifest as anxiety symptoms

    - being rigid or inflexible

  • Both! We can discuss what would work best for you based on your schedule and needs. There's no need to pick one or the other; you are welcome to switch between the 2 options as is convenient for you.

  • $165 per 50-minute session.

I do have limited reduced rate spots, depending on availability.

  • I do not accept insurance. There are advantages and disadvantages to billing insurance for therapy, but I am happy to discuss these with you on an individual basis.

I can provide you with documentation that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. However, I cannot guarantee that your specific insurance will reimburse you.

  • I accept cash, checks, HSAs, and credit cards.

  • I ask that you reschedule or cancel more than 24 hours in advance of our appointment. If you make a change or cancel within that 24-hour window, I will charge for the full session rate. This is to make sure that we are both accountable for the time set aside for our work together. If there are extenuating circumstances, I am happy to discuss waiving the fee on a case-by-case basis.

  • For new clients, fee free to call, email, or schedule a consultation through the portal. We will chat about what you are looking for and how I can help. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an intake appointment and discuss paperwork.
