Hi, I’m Sarah

Like many therapists, my own anxiety experiences led me to this work. I remember being called a '‘worrier” even as a little kid. Sprinkle in some trauma, and BAM! That worry turned into perfectionism, anxiety, and a phobia.

After lots of attempts to outperform my anxiety with achievement and rigidity, I went to therapy. I learned to work with my anxiety, manage my symptoms, and offer compassion to my brain for the way it helps keep me safe.

And that’s my hope for our work: to give you the space, support, and skills you need to befriend your anxious brain, soothe your old wounds, and embrace your imperfect self.

My Approach:

I take an integrative approach to therapy; your therapy will be as unique as you. I pull from many different treatment modalities to tailor an experience that is most helpful for your specific mental health needs.

I value nonambiguity and directness as a clinician, and you should never have to guess what I’m thinking.

I believe that humor has an important place in the healing process because life is serious enough as it is. You are guaranteed to hear some sarcasm or a joke or two in session.

Because the relationship between client and therapist is so crucial to making therapy beneficial, we will take all the time you need to feel safe and connected before diving into the hard stuff.
